³Ô¹ÏÍø is an approved training provider listed in the . Additionally, we strictly adhere to all Federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements while going beyond minimum compliance.

Furthermore, students receive extensive hands-on instruction in critical driving mechanics—including sliding the fifth wheel, adjusting trailer tandems, and proper coupling procedures—in addition to required ELDT theory and skills. Our CDL curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for real-world commercial driving jobs, not just to pass a state exam. Employers across the U.S. recognize The River’s graduates as job-ready professional drivers.

Ready to get behind the wheel of your future? ³Ô¹ÏÍø offers career-focused CDL training in Florida designed to get you road-ready fast.

Our instructors provide classroom instruction, observation, and extensive driving time to ensure you’re prepared for the Florida DMV CDL exam and on-the-job driving.

Program Cost and Format

  • CDL Class A: $7,500
  • CDL Class B: $2,500
  • CDL Class B with School Bus/Passenger Endorsement: $3,300

Schedule Options

  • Daytime: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Evening: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–10:00 PM

Tuition covers instruction and training. Additional required fees (such as medical exams and permits) are listed below.


Course Breakdown

CDL Class A Training

  • 40 hours of in-person classroom instruction
  • 120 hours of behind-the-wheel driving (in person)

CDL Class B Training

  • 12 hours of online classroom training
  • 28 hours of behind-the-wheel training (in-person)

How to Pay for CDL Training

Financing your CDL training in Florida may be easier than you think:

How to Get Started with CDL Training

  1. Prepare for your permit test using the free CDL Prep App
    • Complete General Knowledge and Air Brakes modules
    • Practice until scoring 90–100% before scheduling your DMV permit test
  2. Obtain Required Documents:
    • DOT Medical Card: $80 (with proof of enrollment)
      • Providers: OCC Medical in Fort Pierce or Dr. Okman in Port St. Lucie
      Florida CDL Permit: $6.25 at the DMV
    * Be sure to bring your DOT medical card when you visit the DMV for your permit.
  3. Complete the Student Application
