RESEARCH & INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

Our purpose is connecting resources to change lives by coordinating the following five distinct functions: Government Affairs, Accreditation, Grants, Planning & Assessment, and Research & Reports.

Institutional research hero

Government Affairs

The Office of Research and Institutional Effectiveness develops and maintains effective relationships with state and federal agencies, remains informed about current state and federal legislation and issues that impact higher education, and communicates recommendations for action to appropriate stakeholders.

Accreditation

The Office of Research and Institutional Effectiveness leads and coordinates College-wide efforts to maintain institutional and programmatic accreditation. The Vice President of Research and Governmental Relations oversees this office and serves as the College’s accreditation liaison.

Grants

The Grants Department serves as the central clearinghouse for all grants and contracts awarded to the college. It supports the entire life cycle of each project, from application through closeout. Comprised of three key areas—Grants Development, Grants Accounting, and Grants Management and Compliance—the Division oversees all grant-funded projects at ³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Planning and Assessment

The Office of Research and Institutional Effectiveness supports the development, implementation, and documentation of planning and assessment activities across the College for the purpose of improvement. As part of this effort, the department conducts student surveys throughout the year to help the College’s decision-makers better understand the student experience and perspective. Contact the office for further information.

Research and Reports

The Office of Research and Institutional Effectiveness leads the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of data about the College’s students, faculty, staff, programs, services and operational procedures. It supports and facilitates informed planning and decision-making to improve student success and institutional effectiveness.
