How to Register

Step 1: Find Out Your College’s CLEP Regulation

Each college sets its own regulation regarding which CLEP® exams it will grant credit for and how many credits it will award. Contact your academic advisor to learn more about the CLEP® regulation at your institution.

Step 2: Log In to the My Account Registration Portal

You can create and manage your personal account through the . The registration platform allows you to register for a CLEP® exam 24/7, manage your personal information any time prior to taking the exam, search for test centers, select your score recipient institution, and purchase study materials. You can also find Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌý. It may be helpful to view the before visiting the portal.

Step 3: Schedule a Testing Appointment

CLEP exams can be taken at home or the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Assessment Center.

After registering for a CLEP exam, follow the steps on the link below to make testing appointment to take the CLEP at home.

Testing at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Assessment Center

Registering for an exam provides you with a payment receipt and a Ticket ID number, but you must contact the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Assessment Center at 772-462-7585 to schedule the date and time you wish to take the test.

In addition to the $97.00 CLEP® exam fee, ³Ô¹ÏÍø charges a $30.00 proctoring fee per test date. The $30.00 fee can be paid by cash, check or credit card at ³Ô¹ÏÍø during your testing appointment. Proctoring fees for active military, military spouses and civil service civilian employees of the Air Force Reserve, Army National Guard, Army Reserve and Coast Guard are waived for all DANTES-funded CLEP® exams when a valid special identification card is shown. CLEP® Score Reports and Transcripts

The CLEP  provides general information about CLEP® scores and transcripts. If you need to send your CLEP® transcripts to ³Ô¹ÏÍø, our CLEP® College Code is 5322.

Modern States

Modern States is a non-profit education alliance, that offers free online CLEP preparation courses. Modern States has developed more than 30 CLEP preparation courses. Each course is aligned with a CLEP test subject and includes online lectures, quizzes, tests, and other features.

Modern States currently offers a CLEP voucher for the cost of a CLEP exam after the free online course and CLEP practice questions are successfully passed and completed. Please note that Modern States are available to all students and not just college freshman.
